Creating "How to..." help docs

We are looking to produce a series of ”Help Docs” or ”How-To guides” and are wondering if some of our good community members out there might be interested in helping with this?

There have already been written about these topics many times on the forums, so in most cases what is needed is just to plow through the forums and dig out the gold!

We have created a specific thread for each of the topics. We would then need one person to spearhead each paper, but will of course encourage all of the community to chip in with good input. And once the first draft of the doc is ready, this can be posted to the forums for further input.

The topics/threads are:

• How to build a local gaming community for The Spoils
  
  
• How to do a great demo
  
  
• How to run a streamlined and fun tournament (this should have subsections on Casual (fi. ASS) and Higher Level tournaments - and also tips on the difference between running Constructed and Limited)
  
  
• How to create some noise about The Spoils (with subsections on internet presence and local community awareness)
  
  
• How to persuade a local store to test/try The Spoils? And how to persuade them into carrying the game in their assortment. (this should include a description of our Tag Team model, where our sales team works with a local player to “hit the stores from several angles at once”. The way this works is that the local player go into the store and offer to showcase The Spoils, and at the same time let us know about this, so we can follow-up with the store over the phone, and either get them to place an order, or get them to agree to setting up a demo time for the local player to teach new players about The Spoils. And then followed up by another call-back from our sales team)
  

Writer’s reward/compensation

As a small token of our gratitude we would like to offer for each person producing one of the above docs for us twice the normal reward for producing an article for the website (e.g. two boosterdisplays).

The reason for the added bonus compared to doing an article is that we imagine that there would be more revisions to the doc, than there normally would to an article so be prepared for this.

Should someone fancy some other reward instead of boosterdisplays, then we can probably be persuaded into rewarding you with a couple of our special playmats instead, or something else that might strike your fancy :-)
