Old cards could always get reprinted in the future... also.. they are enver worthless in casual play..

Lastly, once more sets come out the game will likely be split into 2 formats (just like every other GOOD/SMART card game).

You will have an eternal format that allows for all cards (with the exception of a ban list for oops's)

and then you have the current format.

As every card game grows they deal with this and Spoils is not exception.

Having sets rotate out of the "current format" is a good thing.. it's just a matter of how often this happens. Some games rotate very fast and some rotate very slow..

one thing to remember... a game company always has to balance this between 2 types of players...

People who play A LOT and play competitively want sets to rotate much faster then those who only play once a week... and then you have people who only play once a month.. and those people dont ever want the sets to "rotate" because it's hard for them to keep up...

it's all a matter of balance for all of the different players..

Dont forget... a company needs to make money.. and the more often a set rotates, the more they sell.. this is a double edged sword for most people (even the game company).

Rememeber, every card can be played if the people you are playing with agree and you are not trying to sanction the play time.. (yep.. even banned cards... it's not like as soon as you drop a MotM, the spoils police come out of the time portal and take your cards away)

so worrying a WHOLE lot about rotations seems a little pointless right now.

This is a growing game and there will be changes, most will be for the good and I am sure that all will be with what's best for the game in mind.
