Default Way to strenghen Mono trade decks

how about things that are cheeper in mono trades

    like

    Fat Cat
    5GG 5/4/3

Cost- As long as you only control G, you may pick a number for X. Discard X+1 cards. This card numeric cost is reduced by X
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Node Uplink
    1E 0/1/4

As long as you only control E, this cards cost is reduced by 1.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Passionate Pickpokect
    2D 1/1/3

when this enters play if you control only D, you may search your opponents deck for 1 card and put it in their discard pile.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Blood Thirsty Baskilisk
    3R 3/2/3

as long as you only control R this card gains 1 str and loses 1 life.

I think the concept is cool. As long as the trades still keep their individual weeknesses (like Banker cannot destroy items, Warlord inflicts direct damage etc.), it's always nice to increase the effectiveness of mono decks.

I must say I really like the idea of discounted effects for mono trade decks, and think that should be, as Bizze touched on, one of the focuses of pro-mono; getting the signature abilities of that faction more efficiently than would be possible in a multi-trade deck. As such, I think your suggestions conceptually fit the bill quite nicely!

    I think theres also a number of other ways to encourage mono-trade that merit discussion (and it seems to be a popular nook to try and fill, which is reasonable seeing as how the spoils has yet to explicitely encourage such behavior to a significant degree). To add to the discussion I've included a couple of my takes for this below;

    Super Threshold
If you control any non-THRESHOLD face up resources, destroy/terminate this.
These cards cannot be played outside of mono-trade, which means that they can be given quite potent abilities for that trade without needing to have a correspondingly high threshold. As drawbacks however its an incredibly inflexible design, and as such could likely only show up on a handful of rare cards if at all. As an example:
    Creative Bookkeeping
We'll just write it off as a tax incentive.
    Rare
    0 [G][G]
    Tactic
If you control any non-Greed face up resources, terminate this.
    Draw a card.
    Enhanced Effect:
EFFECT. If you control any non-THRESHOLD face up resources, EFFECT instead.
(With the alternate effect being comparitively weaker/narrower.)
    This encourages mono-trade with comparitively more potent effects, while still keeping the overall abilities available to all deck types. Likely providing more efficient variants of the trades traditional abilities (damage for rage, cost reductions for Elitism, mill for rogue, etc.), like;
    Rage Spike
If your lucky it won't get in your eye.
    Common
    3 [R][R]
    Tactic
COST: Pick two or fewer characters.
EFFECT: Inflict three damage any way you choose between the chosen characters. If you control any non-Rage face up resources, inflict two damage any way you choose instead.

ideas are pretty awesome, i wish more cards had a bonus kicker to their threshold. its too easy to toss in 1 and 2 spot cards that are cost effective in a different faction deck.
