Super sweet!!! Thats a LOT of Beta.
When you figure up what it would cost to purchase the cards that are being handed out for first place it totals to at LEAST a couple of grand, not to mention the fact that Beta product is actually Priceless!!!
Although I am sure some players may be upset due to the lack of large cash prizes, I feel this is a LOT better than a canceled event or just being angry while you wait for a check. This way you get "paid" on the spot and very handsomely as well.
Good luck to all attending.
I can't wait to see the reports.![]()

May we all live as long as we want...and never want as long as we live!
Well, it's better than cancelling the event I guess. I'm glad I didn't buy a plane ticket, but this sounds like a lot of fun for those in the region. 44 boxes may not be 3K+, but it's still a fair chunk of product.
I'm very glad to hear you guys didn't cancel this- not cancelling (event with an altered prize structure) does give some hope to all of us punks sticking around the boards!

A card player is only as good as the luck of his draw, but a draw is only as good as the card drawn from it, yet the card is only as good as the player who plays it..

Are STE points still being awarded for this event??? If the game survives to get in the black, won't you still have a championship cruise? STE points can still be gained and tracked until then.

Glad to see Tenacious supporting the events as they can even though money issues seem uncertain. Might something similar be done for prize money that's already been won but might not be possible to award? While I admit I'd prefer the $100 I had coming from tournaments, I would certainly rather get a bunch of Seed in its place than nothing.
