Can we get rid of the thousands of members who have 0-2 posts and haven't been on in forever? They seem to just take up space and be pointless.

Why though? Unless a current user wanted a name...
1. Alot of people lurk, and lurkers are just as important to a forum as regular posters.
2. "This (CCG)'s Forum only has 1k members. This (CCG2)'s forum has 10k members. I think I will start playing (CCG2).
3. Just because they aren't active now, doesn't mean they won't ever again.
How do they take up space in a way that adversely effects you?

2.Then isn't TG being Deceitful?
3. Its very unliikely, and who would be angry if they haven't been on in 6 months and their account got deleted?
It seems like their are a lot of people on the spoils forum when there aren't.Originally Posted by jty3

How does this matter to you? honestly... it is good for TG to have more people signed up. More accounts = more people who have probably played the game and it looks good to investors i'm going to guess.

what do u mean... the forum shows who is on when you go to TheSpoils main forum and scroll to the bottom.. for example right now there are 26 (6 members and 20 guests) i can even name the players who are registered and on right now because it tells me... so to me it seems there are 26 people on the forums right now.Originally Posted by Killercoz

I am talking about members. It seems that there are a lot of members when they really aren't, just a lot of accounts that have been unactivated for months.Originally Posted by s0b3k

Accounts = Spoils players (at least the vast majority of them). As for the thousands of members that take up space, they slow the site down by maybe 0.0001 seconds (rough estimate meant to signify highly irrelevant").
TG isn't being deceitful, they didn't create those accounts. Some other people made those accounts of their own free will, I don't even think everyone on the TG staff has his own account on here. Them accounts were created by: Spoils Players, People interested in the Spoils at some point in time, Spammers and SEO guys.
I disappeared for about 6 months, so did a lot of other guys who are back now. I'd have been pissed if my account were deleted. I'd have been even more pissed if my account were deleted and then someone else came in and used my username. Heck, try getting coz@yahoo.com (if it's not already yours). It's probably been an idle account for the last 10 years and still isn't deleted.
Deleting these accounts serve no beneficial purpose whatsoever. Keeping them there does (for reasons given by Casket).

You would not be deleted because you made posts before then. I am talking about the people who made there accounts 6 months ago and haven't returned since.Originally Posted by Lord Kuato

People with no posts are still people. They still read posts etc. Jason hadn't posted for many months until he posted 13K pictures, but you'd have to be a real jerk to delete him...
As for the people who don't really post, there are some wierd people out there, I guess, maybe some of them really do care about the game or have cared. Also, activity on the forums doesn't indicate how many people play or w/e.
