How can people be voting for Nothing Great happening on a deserted island? What could be happening that's even remotely mundane? We have to make fire and hunt and try to repopulate the island...how's that nothing great?

You're a Towel!
Did I mention they have eggnog for the holidays?
Seriously though, it's 6 to draw 4, netting a total of +3 resource advantage. Just look at SRA. How many times did he net way more than +3 resource advantage? Almost all the time? Oh yeah... So I guess the card is good but not broken?
Current Hero: Century
SRA didn't help rediculously much as far as real resource advantage is concerned- he helped because of tempo! Turn one beefy! Turn two six drop! So much can happen with the SRA. Yes, in a long game, he's an advantage in hard resources, but it takes until his fourth turn to start being any hard bonus. He did help resource advantage, but for tempo he's godly. This helps resource advantage at the cost of tempo, that's why it's so much worse than SRA.

I totally agree Sin. It's hard to quantify between on-board tempo and inhand options, but I'm glad what I meant came through clearly even if it was worded poorly.

SRA is a versatile card because resources are versatile.
Desserted Island enables you to maintain whatever tempo you've currently set for yourself OR draw into a couple more possible threats/options. The only reason it would give a quantifiable resource advantage is to make it playable.
