Is Desserted Island Overpowered or just another Crazy Island with Parties Everynight?

My first round opponent got two Desserted Islands in his sealed pool. When I was beating him so bad he turns it around with not just one but two Desserted Islands used against me. The same thing also happened to someone else. I think that card is overpowered and Tenacious should do something about it.

I will also post a Poll talking about what happens at the island.

It's not over-powered. period. It saves you 3 resources over just using your faction's Draw ability(5 for numeric cost of the card, 3 for the cost of it being a card, 1 for the numeric cost of its recur ability = 9 You draw four cards instead of 3). It's a great card for refilling your hand, but that doesn't make it overpowered. It's not broken, it's just good... and, hell, it's not even as good as Selective Gluttony.

It's a different card from Gluttony. Gluttony is a combo enabler and/or a way to see some new cards and try to dig yourself out of a bind. Island gives you drawing power.

It's not overpowered, I would think this is obvious, but it's certainly a good card.

As for what happens on the island I think they're the kind who like to party all the time party all the time party all the tiiiiiiime!

I know the card is good but I think that could of balanced it a little bit more. The island itself I hear has a very different christmas traditation than everybody else.

If by "balance" you mean make it not worth the paper it's printed on.......

If it had any less of a resource advantage to play compared to just using your faction DRAW ability, it would have no point.

Well, it's no Mau Party stupid, but it's still good.

In any event, Mau Party still wins. And Exploitation makes it win more.

overpowering? No. Its a good card to play if you get one. I think your mad cause i smacked you around.

I actually like it more for the recur ability than for the card itself- I'd throw this to a gluttony any day of the week.

The recur generates more resource advantage than casting it...
3 (card) + 5(cost) for 9 (3 cards)= +1 for losing some tempo= allright/playable.
1 (recur ability) for 3 (card)= +2 and considerably less tempo loss. Seems solid.

You basically had no hand when I was beating you. I even had better board until you top decked it.
