I agree. If anything, you can flag a normal card as ultra-rare if you wanted, which would cover the possibility of ultra-rare in any set, for the future.

Won't help, a collector needs to keep track of all existing variants as separate entities.. and TRUE collector wants them ALL!

HOORAH!!! Gotta get'em all baby!!!! One you've got one, then you need two. Then 3. Then 4.

    Ok, there's the play set...done!

But wait, wouldn't it be good to have one complete mint set you never play with?

    Ok, need 5.

But then there's trading. Some cards you just like more than others and want in more than one deck.....so you have to have more!

    Mwahahahahaha!
Home at last!!!! Strangely enough though, I have even less time to myself than I did in Kuwait!

You just reminded me of a conversation I had with Ed awhile back. Gotta Catch 'Em All, *cracks up laughing uncontrollably*

    *mostly recovers eventually*

In any case, it was this attitude of 'liking some cards more than others' which caused me to be so shocked when you gave me a foil Reckless Challenger at DEXCON- and caused me to grab and hide it immidiately so you wouldn't realize what you'd done.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Not necessarily. They don't need to know how you keep track of them internally, only how they are presented. You can keep track of foil/non-foil counts for the same entity, and present them as 2 separate cards. The same goes for Ultra-Rare.
