I'm not sure where the problem is. I go second all the time. In fact, I prefer to go second. Going second also gives you the opportunity for 'Turn Zero' effects.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

removal and solid turn 0 card advantage plays.

Agains banker who play erotic assassin 1st turn use forced recruitment as a turn 0 play to steal it away from them

Play a turn 0 sudden osprey to stay even on creatures (not really rcomended)

Play Orgy Den Smoke out to make them discard a random card (could be a resource) and mill 2 so you can jumpstart the mill engine.

Play pinches and target practices to turn 0 kill their creatures

Play 1st turn (going 2nd) flaming barduses to wipe out weenies and put you on an even footing

Play quotidian dissapearence and assassination turn 0 to bounce their creatures and screw up tempo. (note dont bounce the micromajig masters or the like intentionaly just the tokens)

There are tons of ways to even the board early game this barely scratches the surface.

I am a little confused to be honest...Are you playing the same deck over and over again? IF so could you post the deck list for further evaluation? The only way I can actually see this happening is if your opponent is piloting a tempo based deck and is drawing everything they need to tempo out correctly; however, even then your not always doomed. Look at LD based decks in MTG.

im using the same deck, so are my friends.

we started playing 2-3 days ago, so we all pretty much suck. but the deck is always changing slightly, but basically its just the starter deck with added horsemen and lutodeurm(sp?) in there someplaces

Well then...Precons are never expected to be played at the tourney level, so if you are having problems winning when you go second we can credit it towards limited resources, and knowledge of the game.

Time is my prescribed remedy. You will get better, we all do.

Spoken like a sage, sir sin.

But yes, I agree. If anything, try playing your game a little differently. If you continously do the same Turn one play, than of course your opponent will be able to disrupt it due to his prior knowledge of what to expect.

i could also focus more on traps and using the slingerang to slow down his mass of low power cards.
