Thread: Rage with a toolbox

  1. Default Rage with a toolbox

Now i know u have all seen many mono rage decks well this is not one of those so dont worry. this is however how rage with elitism makes mono rage go poop with big guys good tatics and a toolbox of items along with scavengemajig and invent that go ya i am in trouble. i split my iq with this deck beating 2 mono rage lose to the 3rd because of an iffy draw and him having near the nuts. if they dont play mono rage then u should be good need more testing with non mono rage but this thing is crazy. now as for the deck iffy ones are the 7 drop in here but with his 6 life dam hard for rage to deal with it and the one subversion matrix but with invent in here seems good.

    resources
    2 rage (start with)
    16 elitism

    dudes
    4 scavengemajig
    4 bloodcurdling bulldozer
    2 633fy 31f
    4 scout
    4 legacy warmachine
2 raging bask ( for that dam gold summit deck so i can still take them down lol)
    4 flaming barduse
    2 manifold quasi-modal steamwork

    tactics
    4 target pratice
    4 skewer
    2 invent
    3 hammer smash
    4 shriever attack

    items
    4 jacques trap
    1 subversion matrix
    2 runic cannon
    4 one-legged hopping pogo-bear
    3 hidden sandwich

That is the deck and i hope it is easy to see how the tool box makes rage just nuts i mean yes u lose the speed but it also makes it so u have game past turn like 5.
I might be crazy and an jerk at times but i have skills and u better respect that much

Isn't the point of Aggro to hit hard and fast though? Idealy there wont be a late game, and based on the results I have read it seems Warlords do a great job of making that happen.

I like the Gearsmith Splash Idea, but personally I would have made the deck with Rage being the heavy Trade to open up more options, Toolbox is definetly a cool card, and I see this deck working. My concern is that it probably dies to faster Warlord decks before it can go online.

A few card related qualms -

Scavengemajig - Seems liek a wierd choice for an aggro deck, even one looking to capitalize late game. Is there a particular card oyu want to recur with this?

Skewer - Between Jaque's Trap and Target Pracitce, Skewer looks a little on the weak side. Given a fourslot, I would have included Prototype over this, removal seems satisfied by the cards you have already, why not throw in something to fetch it with?

Any way I remind everyone I have yet to play in a Competetive Constructed Tourney so that very well may all be wrong, I'm just looking to get involved.

No dragon juice or prototype? I would throw in more Subversives or some Toolbox 3lves to search for them. The Manifolds are susceptible to Pluck decks.

I think right now just to avoid heistplanner plucks its better to not play the fat beaters just my opinion.

i didnt mean for it to be aggro but the 7 drop might go not sure yet. dont need the toolbox elf for just one card its there as a bullet for some match ups

Mind explaining how this is a 700160x? I see two copies of one search card.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

i'd throw some dragon juices in here just to have pogo bear go directly for 8

Tool box in the sense of this ok. The ability to bring back pogo bears if they get hammersmashed or my hidden sandwiches or the traps. as for the juices its more of rage with a control side so those are not as needed. yes i know rage is in it but it doesnt mean it has to be in every deck.

The consensus seems to be that you need Dragon Juice and a few other Warlord Staples to be more agressive, and in turn, win more games early. You wont need to worry abotu the late game if it never comes.
