Titanofthegods posted a top-notch Spoils article on Team Covenant yesterday, and it was so good that I thought many here might want to know about it! Give it a look and get prepared for GenCon this year!

A fair warning. It has never been stated that Shade of the Devoured Emperor would be Legal for Gencon (if even released by Gencon). The chatter, if any, might have been special events containing Shade. Shade has never been announced with a release date.

Has it been announced for a draft event though? I don't see where he is getting all these assumptions. Even if all we know is that it will be drafted at Gen Con, that would be good news, meaning the cards are on a slightly shorter schedule than Seed 3 had.

The article is very good indeed. Unfortunately there is a factual error in the premise for the part about the Limited Championship.

There is only a small, slim, tiny, outside chance that we can show some Shade of the Devoured Emperor at Gen Con, but there is also a much, much bigger chance that we will not be able to get it ready so soon.

Really too bad that this rumor got out there, because we would rather have surprised you all positively IF it became ready... and be sticking to our policy of under-promising and over-delivering rather than the other way around.

Now I want to try and get back to the state where we could potentially surprise in a good way. So let me say that we do not expect to show off any Shade at Gen Con - and events should be expected to run without this product. And then perhaps/maybe/not likely we will bring in a surprise - but please don't hold your breath waiting for it

Don't let minor details such as the set not being ready stop you. Print out proxies if you need to.

I have been away from this fine game for far too long. But this year has been one heck of a year so far. But actually The Wife & I found a pack of Seed at a local peddler's mall. And She found 8 packs of Seed II at a local hobby shop that she brought home with her. I am needing my Warlord/Rogue fix bad, but as Gen Con quickly approaches I noticed something. I didn't see a spot on the Exhibit Hall map for Arcane Tinmen or The Spoils! I admit I might have missed it or overlooked it as it is a huge map. But I wanted to come over and check the fourms anyways for new posts and such so thought I would throw this out.

The map was released a couple of weeks ago, I got it through the Gen Con newsletter. I am typing this on my phone, but I also have the map in PDF downloaded too. I just checked it again, and no listing for Arcane Tinmen or Spoils in the directory of vendors.
