Thread: Warlord Character- Well-endowed Warlord Water Witch

  1. Lightbulb Warlord Character- Well-endowed Warlord Water Witch

    Ariel, Well-endowed Water Witch
Anything you can do, I can do wetter.
    Cost: 3
    Threshold: RR
    0/3/3
    Warlord Character - Sorceress
    Unique Ariel

    Washout
Cost - Pick a card with an ability on it in your opponent's discard pile. Pay the ability's cost.
Effect - Duplicate the ability's effect. Remove the card from the game.

    Brain Wash - RRRRRR
Cost - Deplete this card. Pick a character.
Effect - Inflict 1 damage to the character. If the character has 2 or more life and this damage would destroy the character, take control of it instead. Reduce the amount of damage inflicted to it this turn to 0 and deplete it. It gains the "necromorph" subtype.

I can do anything wetter than you.

Flavor - Ariel is a student of Elzibeth, her power is based on the control of water. Old dead corpses can be used, but they are so dry that she can only use them for a brief time, before they are completely destroyed. If you add too much water to something that was dessicated then it goes *pop*. Hence the ability Washout. Use a character's ability from the discard pile, remove from game.

Now, if she's angry enough (RRRRRR threshold) and gets a hold of a fresh corpse- say by killing it herself- then she is able to reanimate it and control it. If the person is weak, then her kill shot makes them go splat, and she can't use the pieces. Hence the Brain Wash (<- 2 words because it's literal) ability. If she shoots an X/1/3, they are too weak, and die. If she shoots an X/Y+1/3, that already has Y damage inflicted to it this turn, then their body is strong, but she finishes the kill, and makes them a zombie.

I think this card would be better suited as a Rogue card. Maybe word it:

Cost: Pick a card with an ability on it in your opponents discard pile. Pay all the costs of one of its abilities as if you were the controller of the card.
Effect: The effect of that ability happens as if that card was under your control. Remove that card from the game.

Or something like that. Like the concept a lot.

Yes, the ability is Rogue-ish, but Sorcery has thus far only been seen in Warlord (Elzibeth) and Banker (Monty and the necromorphs). I like the concept in any trade really. Think of this character as an apprentice of Elzibeth. The card idea started with the double entendre flavor text haha

Yeah, the flavor is pretty sweet. I wouldn't be sad to see this card as a Unique Elzibeth, moved to Rogue. That's where most of the Sarcofiles are so I can't see why she can't change trade.

  5. Default Now with more flavor!

I evolved the card a little... made it Unique, and added a new ability. Also wrote a bit on the flavor of the card and her abilities.

I like the idea behind the card, but this cannot be a warlord card OR at the very least, it cannot take control of other characters - warlords should never do this, ever! If you want a card to take control of other cards it is going to be Rogue period. Warlords are aggro, not control/tricksy. It would be simple to make her Rogue and keep her flavor (no reason she cannot have trained with Elzibeth), make her water down ability cause the character to lose 1 life instead of take a point of damage.

"The character loses 1 life this turn. If the character has a printed life of 2 or more and this loss of life would destroy it, take control of it instead and reduce all damage dealt to it this turn to 0. Deplete the character. It gains the necromorph subtype."

I'm with Oneyus still. This is an awesome Rogue character.

Rogues aren't the only trade that can steal dudes, they're just the only ones who can do it well. Bankers can do it temporarily with money a la Mutiny Grant. All of the Rogue character control is human trafficking and kidnapping flavor-wise which makes no sense as a way to permanently control a character. "Oh, I've been kidnapped! I guess I'll just fight for you guys now, no hard feelings."

If assimilation and military training isn't a more permanent form of mind control (via brainwashing) then nothing is. Sounds pretty Warlord. Ariel just does it literally, and it could otherwise kill you. Speaking of which, I just re-named the second ability.

If this is in any way printable as a card, then I'd be more than happy for it to be in any trade. I just don't think that it is totally absurd for it to be Warlord.

Why are Characters taken by Rogues are kidnapped? o.O
This is not. They only use human negatives.
Titties and Ass is only because of men´s or women´s sexuality.
Epic Turncoat speaks for itself. Muddlebugs speaks for itself. Forced Recruitment is, Rogue only make a better offer to the character^^
    Pluck: He cheats^^
Master Thief: He is the only one who "steals" (kidnapps)
Rosy Palmer: Her five Friends, one of her Friends is a traitor
Grand Theft All, speaks for itself.

So, I think this card IS!!! Rogue-like!

Don´t see the kidnapping, see the --> Deception <-- and --> Treachery <--

  10. Default

    Rapine and Auction House, specifically.
"Putting the sensual back in non-consensual"
