Thread: Emergency Blame Campaign

  1. Default Emergency Blame Campaign

    Emergency Blame Campaign
    Banker Tactic
    5 (G)(G)(G)(G)(G)

Cost: Pick a number for X. Your faction looses X + X influence.
Effect: Your opponents faction looses X influence.

Flavour: "How were we to know that the material was toxic before the workers died?!"
"... Besides Minister Blatherscythe bought candy with tax money! And he didn't share!"

(A bitter parody of swedish politicians.)

An interesting card idea but I'm not a big fan of the idea letting a lifegain/stall deck 1-shot me.

Yeah. Monobanker stalling and gaining life for 30 minutes.
Then with their 100+ influence. They spend 50 for you to take 25.

Monobanker is already not fun to play against, this would just make it more unfun.

It's a bit of a gamble though as your own life loss is a cost and the opponents the effect. A response with Tactician Vacation, A Blazing Zero or Muddle (especially Muddle) could be fatal.

It's strong and maybe it should be of a different trade, but I think that a solid competative deck should have answers to tactics (such as Bask Bile) anyway or (not need it if they go for a turbo-kill).

It's not really a gamble for a lifegain deck. Being able to hit 100+ influence in a single game in 45-minutes isn't nearly as difficult as you would expect with a stall/lifegain banker deck. If my insta-kill doesn't win me the game I can just recycle the tactic with writ and lifegain myself back up or get a draw.
