Thread: Banker Warlord Location Control

    Default Banker Warlord Location Control

This is a deck I came up with recently. It has been various decks throughout its history. This is just using cards that I have now.

    Character(15)
    4x Dwarvish Grimalkin
    3x Conscientious Objector
    3x Deadly Striker
    2x Plunging Shriever
    3x Robustical Badass
    Item(7)
    3x Crest of Greed
    4x Humiliating Torture Apparatus
    Location(14)
    2x Department of Rejections
    3x Gilded Yurt
    3x High Court of Demands
    3x Marduun Baitings and Loan
    3x Theocratic Senate of Marduun
    Tactic(23)
    4x Delectable Boon
    3x Extravagant Contusion
    1x Mutineer's Hiatus
    2x Dark Awakening
    4x Karmic Cake
    3x Inconvenient Roadblock
    3x Alluring Quicksand
    1x Architectural Restitution
    2x Walk The Plank
    Resource(16)
    14x Greed(s)
    1x Rage(s)
    1x Violence

I want to add 4x Exploitation, 2x Dark Awakening, 1x Mutineer's Hiatus, 1x Deadly Striker.
Other cards that I have been thinking about adding are Tactician's Vacation, Nasty Butler, Limited Liability and Mutiny Grant. The usual suspectsof course. I wanted to have it be more control than aggro oriented. Thoughts? Suggestions??

Any deck with HTA benefits from Gideon. And Tax Attorney will help you a lot. I would really recommend cutting down on the Greed a bit, skip the Rage and just go for Violence. A Milkshake or early Heist Planner will kill your resources and prevent you from playing HTA. Exploitation is good for this deck, just like you said. And Gold Summit is always good in Banker. Another thing you might do is add a few covert characters to get around big fields. Foolhardy Desperado and Hired Goons are both good.

Since you have 4x Karmic Cakes, I'd want to start with 1 greed in play. That way you can turn 0 for extra resources.

Just realized one of the starting resources is a Rage. On one hand you just need one Karmic Cake without Recur to get your HTAs ready to torture, if you start two Greeds you lose the ability to play 2 different cards before your first Karmic cake. And wiht Recur on that, you're ready to go. So I'd actually start two Greed. Another reason to do that is not to tip your opponent off that you play Warlord.

I like your build. I was wondering, have you looked at the old Writ/Bile lists? Those ran Free Trade Agreement, Writ of Reclamation, and Bask Bile along with a lot of control elements to stall until it could go infinite with Bask Biles and Writ of Reclamation (not a technically infinite loop, just an infinite recursion engine). Also, since you are running Gilded Yurt, perhaps you should consider Framptle Tromwibbler and/or Flabbergasting Philosopher to stem the bleeding in the early game.
