Make sure you take the news to them

And to all of you: Do offer to help the stores run the events; most stores will appreciate a dedicated crowd - and in the end they may well feel even better about The Spoils!

It's generally the players in our store that hosts these events. However Johan at Dragon's Lair is really supportive of the game so it will probably not be a problem making it happen. Some of the players are allready trying to find a date for the tournament that will work for the greatest amount of players.

I have gotten consent from a local shop to run a limited championship. Now I just have to find some players who are willing to help offset the cost of the product. My wife has banned me from buying a lot product without people to play with.

So...nowhere on the site is there a list of participating stores with times and dates? Am I just missing this info somewhere? Or is nobody running events?

There will be no FLC held in Orlando.

Really? That's a shame. From what I've gathered on these forums it sounds like Orlando has a pretty decent player base. Figured for sure you guys would be hosting the FLC.

Yeah, our player base numbers wise is pretty good (13+), however, many of our players have limited funds and need several weeks notice to plan for such an event. Several players are in college and have finals this week and then they go home for the holiday. The timing just wasn't very good ... we started a Spoils league only two weeks ago and we have 10 people invested in the league already. On top of all that, many of the players just aren't interested in the prizes at this point (several new players, many of whom are still figuring the game out).

Side note: The grand total of all players in the local play group would be well over 20 if it weren't for move outs, lack of transportation, and busy schedules.

That's a pity. Tampa group has kind of shrunk, lots of people stopped playing due to lack of growth. I was hoping to travel up to Orlando to play the FLC.
