I see what you did with the whole "Dr. Whom" and how a similarly named character from fiction regenerates.
Man, gaining influence but losing your defense almost makes no sense... kind of like a bailout.
Mainly I just wanted to make a banker tactic with the name oneupsmanship. I just think it sounded like something a banker should have.
Oneupsmanship
"Anything you can do, I can do better."
3 [g][g][g]
Banker Tactic
Play in response to an opponent drawing cards. Draw the same number of cards, plus one.
"Sooner or later,...
Ah, I didn't think of that. Completely changes things.
Crooked Cashier
Rogue Character - Gamber
3(D)(D)
2/2/3
Cash In
Pay 3, add one token to this card.
Cash Out
Pay 4, move one token from this card to another card you control.
Man, this is something I can get behind. I'm just getting into Gearsmith and this sounds like a system I'd really like to use.
Make it a unique item? Then it won't stack?
That's quite a cost that I'm just not sure is worth it. Effectively, to use that ability, you need to pay 4 to play this card then play 4 resources or two non-staple double threshold resources.

I would be terrified to see this tactic played because it only means one thing: here comes the pain. I have to agree with Brad though, this does seem better suited for an item.
Reminds me of munchkin! Specifically the Vorpal Blade from Munchkin 3.
Maybe for more fun add something like
"[o][o][o][o][o] If the picked character's name begins with a "Q" this card gains 5...
I think I said this on Facebook, but Carl is what stands out to me.
bahahaha. That's funny and useful. Also gives the opponent a chance to play a tactic or ability which would attach it immediately and ruin it's usefulness. I live for those moments.
Even if this isn't how it would work out, I like the ideas flowing in this. Keep it flowing!
How about Amplified Amplifying Amplifier of Amplification?
I managed to fit one more in there. ;)
My current favorite is the ever exploitable Gilded Yurt.
A few ideas for this.
Have it be 2/2/3 instead.
Add the text:
"This card loses 1 life for every token it has on it."
Change Boycott to:
Cost: Use this ability only in response to your...
I'd prefer it be akin to:
"When attacking, Pay X. Your opponent must pay X to block."
My jaw fell on the floor, so I had to reinforce it this time.
For an ability like that I think the threshold should be higher.
I'm so relieved to hear this.
My local store is great. Long live The Covenant Store!
The idea is to force heavy amounts of deck removal using Card Counter and Shadowy Muggar with the Gilded Yurt. I forgot about the Grimalkin, but I include Guttersnipes because they are a 1-1-4 and if...
On my last post, I got some great feedback from Theorist and I was encouraged to trim my number of different cards down. I was reccomended to get to 20 cards and then use multiples of them. I went a...
