So, new stuff keeps happening all the time and my days continue to be very busy, which of course is a good thing. To name one of my chores, I am currently spending time finding us a larger warehouse for Dragon Shield and our plans for The Spoils in the coming year.
Also, every week we are contacted by new potential customers. A lot of these contact us because of Dragon Shield, and we always use such an opportunity to tell them about The Spoils. And most (by a big margin) find the game very interesting, but of course not all pick it up, most commenting on what continues to be our great challenge of facing the “bigger brothers” we have out the on the market, making the world understand that we do indeed offer the best card game out there.
Some new customers also contact us directly because of The Spoils (I will admit to hold these companies a little dearer to my heart) and these are, in nature, much easier to sell The Spoils to. Some come to us because of local players pushing the game to them (keep doing that guys!) and others may have heard about us at conventions or through our little advertising scheme on the back of the Dragon Shield boxes.
I am also regularly contacted by various conventions, big and small, that invite us to set up a booth with them. And I really do wish that we had the capacity to go to all of these great gaming avenues; hopefully that day will come! In the meantime, if you are sitting out there with a fire to do some ground work and you have a local convention where you could consider being our ambassador, then do contact me and we will see if we can help each other in broadening the scope of conventions we could cover!
The freshest installment in the everyday adventures of the AT- ffice is that I am meeting with a Swiss company that wants to do a mobile game of sorts with The Spoils. I still don’t know anything of what their ideas are, but it is absolutely interesting and certainly something I would be very keen on involving ourselves with!
However, I also know from past experiences from the many leads and contacts I do get on The Spoils, that this could very well be something that belongs with my far-fetched New Year’s Resolutions of my earlier blog. There are lots of dreams and high hopes in the world, and I am happy to run with them all, but also know that realities may be just a wee bit different. But I love dreaming myself and will dauntlessly continue to do so.
After all, what really matters in making dreams come true is the stamina to stick with your goals for the necessary time it takes and not whimper in the process. Though of course, even with a big score in stamina, I still would wish that things had moved faster than they have done so far. But I have good faith that 2013 will be the year that we steam up and really pick up speed!
Speaking of which; we are waiting for the second round of samples for Shade of the Devoured Emperor to be completed and sent to us for our evaluation. There were some minor things that needed tweaking and I expect that this second round of sampling will have corrected all of this. And then we will be hitting that BIG RED “GO” button. I so look forward to this!
