Rescuing the Spoils #11: ‘Tis the Season

It’s Christmas time and here in Denmark it means spending a lot of time going to all kinds of Christmas events, especially if you are a father of two daughters as I am. Though it is all very nice and merry, and I quite enjoy it, it can also be a bit stressful and exhausting – but I guess that is all part of the Christmas spirit ![]()
But luckily there is still time to work on The Spoils, and though it may look to the innocent bystander as if nothing is happening, I can assure you that on the inside all kinds of things are going on!
We are saying goodbye to Will Clark as head of Organized Play, and I want to wholeheartedly thank Will for all his good work for the past years. Luckily, Will is not leaving fully to study for his Masters but will still be around helping us run conventions and expanding our reach through them – something I am really happy he could be persuaded to do.
I also want to welcome Ian Spiegel-Blum as our new head of OP. Ian will be widening his field from working with the Ambassador program to also embrace Organized Play. I have already had some interesting talks with Ian about this and very much look forward to the coming seasons.
On the sales side of things, we are right now working with two new distributors that will be taking in The Spoils: Southern Hobby and Premier Hobby. Both of them carried Spoils in the TG days but are now returning to the water hole to stock up on Spoils goodness again.
Set-wise we are starting up on the art productions for the second set in the Unlikely Heroes block, Holy Heist. On this set we will be working with a great many of the artists that produced the former sets, but there will also be new additions to the team. I very much look forward to seeing this unfold. And if you bug us in a month’s time or so, who knows, perhaps we can even be persuaded to share some sketches or other neat stuff!!
Merry Christmas to you all!
