Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like there aren't any outstanding Banker finishers in the game. There are a TON of versatile cards that make me want to splash Banker in lots of decks, and Montgomery is obviously incredible, but I haven't been able to find a strong, reliable, stable end game threat in the Banker trade.

Thoughts?

Except for the allround Warlord trade, most decks stick to their flavor. In terms of Banker cards, I've seen Foolhardy Desperado used in combination with Montgomery and a couple of Tax Attorneys. With all the stall and removal available to Banker, it can be a deadly combination, even though it requires a few cards to set up (but if you're focusing on life gain, you might not need the Attorneys).

I'd label the Erotic Assassins strong, reliable, stable and EARLY game threat as well. Paired with Montgomery, they'll be quite easy to throw at your opponent in the late game as well.

Banker's strategy isn't to have a big finisher, it's to grind away at the opponent inexorably.

I agree that casual, mono-banker lacks efficient way to win the game. Most people in my community hate playing vs mono banker, mainly because :

a) it takes forever to kill banker,
b) it takes forever to be killed by banker.

Spoils is already a long game (compared to other card games). It's not a bad thing, but I feel that playing with/agaist mono banker just makes the game too slow, significantly reducing fun.

I would suggest adding some more offensive, easily accessible banker cards, to reduce play times.

Looking at other games, when I first saw High Elves in Warhammer Invasion, my first thought was "i wish banker worked like this". It has similiar traits as banker (healing, character resurection), but still has meaningful offensive. Same goes to white color in Magic. Maybe the developers could get few ideas how to speed up banker from those games.

To sum up: Please give casual mono banker meaningful threats, and make it fun to play against.

How would you make a character casual only?

"If this card is in your deck and you are playing a tournament, you lose the match".

Solved.

I agree, but I would suggest making characters that are in the spirit, or the flavor, of Banker that are meaningful threats on the competitive scene. When you have a game of five trades, but only one or two have the relevant meta-defining cards (cough, Warlord, cough) the game becomes stale. Perhaps an expansion of the lore to include more of the seedy underbelly of Bankers (look at US Wall Street, for example) could be utilized in creating meaningful Banker threats. I understand that Bankers are meant to stall and gain life, but that's not enough to win the game. I think every trade should have viable, consistent win options for both the competitive and casual player.
