No sense in running that poll much longer, Sam's pretty much taking this one:

Ok, fine, no Gold Summit, heres a Goon of some kind:

As you can see, the R&D icon for Bankers is a balance scale. I'd tell you why, but we're out of time.

No fair giving us a card that we've already seen the final art on (in the rules version 2.0). Does the 'no damage' rule apply to cards like Blanching Butcher and Concealed Goon which inflict damage to your own faction? Because you know I just fell in love with this card and I want to see just how much I like it.

*mutters* saying they have no win condition. They don't bloody need a win condition, they've got about fifty not a loss conditions, they can poke away for the win till the cows come home... well, till time's called at any rate */muttering*

Edit- AND he's a lawyer.

Edit again- AND he only costs 4.

Now we shall have to wait and see if a record is broken for the speed with which the wallpaper is put up. Seeing as ST was last sited in the media section, we may just be in luck.

I've replaced Gold Summit with Concealed Goon. Let's see what happens.

Vaguely horrifying, yet perversely hilarious.

Everything we've come to expect from The Spoils and more.

Thanks for the replacement. Now, the real question is for how long will we be able to string you along, giving us new pictures? You probably have access to all of them... Just kidding!

Gods, this is funny. Admittedly some things seemed a little clearer in the Beta version, but this is just hilarious.

See, if the people move they can cause things to happen.

Do we have a definitive answer on the Samuel Gristwaller question? Does self inflicted 'loses x influence' count? I see that having the goon there makes easy reference, clever. Thanks.

I would think that "Loses Influence" doesn't fall under the "No Damage" banner of the mighty Samuel.

You lose influence as a result of damage, but that doesn't make them the same thing.

Meh...seems subpar....as long as you run kill/bounce hes no big and he will only see play in mono banker which have no win condition anyway....;) no worries there.

... will control outburst, will control outburst, will control... This and Humiliating Torture Mortgage would be a beautiful thing, no? What a pity they both have high thresholds, I don't know how I'd ever manage to actually assemble the thing. I simply can't find the draw power...

I don't think he'd prevent the influence loss from Humiliating Torture Apparatus.

Of course, I'm looking at this as the difference between Life Loss and Damage in M:TG, so who knows.

He'd bloody well better stop the damage from HTA. *looks really nicely ate R&D, NearbySerpent in particular* right? Please?

From all that I have read influance loss is different than damage to your faction , thus tax attorney works for loss and I would say Samuel would not.

Edit: Loss is loss and damage to your faction is converted to loss

It prevents all damage from HTA. However, HTA causes no damage, it causes influence loss, which Sam can't do anything about. Same w/ goons, toughs, etc. Look at the difference between Sam and Tax Attorney. TA can handle goons, toughs, and apparati.

Nearby Serpent is out today, as he flew back from the $10k in NY this morning, but this is correct.

So four Paralegals, four Gristwalters, four Tax Attorneys, and you will never, ever die.

Only need one gristwalter.

It's alright, we trust you ST. Thanks for the ruling. I suspected that might be the case, but was desperately hoping hope against hope that there was going to be a wording change. Why must all my attempts to turn the game irrevocably in the favor of the bankers be intelligently thwarted?

You only need one Grist in play.

He might as well say "Kill Me!" in big red letters.

It's enough to make you wish you had a Ferret on the field.

I like Samuel, is this another card that can stop EO? I mean, if this card is in play on your opponents side of the field, you declare and attack with your party, play EO, nothing would happen damage wise since Samuel is on the field? I like finding cards that stop EO so I can call them with Incriminating Photograph :D

What if your opponent uses EO and declares him as a blocker?! oh the drudgery...
