I have noticed that cards assumes that this is a two players game. I know that The Spoils is meant to be in played two players mode and as such game it was designed. It's also not very likely that I will play The Spoils in multiplayer. But The Spoils is about similarly suited for multiplayer play as Magic and I had seen made up multiplayer variants for such games like CoC or even Netruner. I'm sure that there are players which try to play this game in larger groups. So curent state of things I perceive as omission. I'm not speaking about creating oficial multiplayer rules or designing cards with goal of enchancing multiplayer play in mind. I'm just speaking about templating cards in the way that make it clear that they affect all opponents or selected one, when there are more then one. And maybe errating exising cards in the way to clarify this.

we have been trying to make multiplayer rules. the best idea we have come up with so far is 'assassin' rules (or hunter). there are too many cards that assume 2 player and as such are BROKEN in a free for all. (billionaire being one of the worst). the best solution we came up with was you can only attack your target. there has been talk of attack left defend right but that takes some of the mystery of who is out to get who and you just robot attack left. boring.

i will say this i would like to see a set of multiplayer come out with the wording slightly diffrent on old cards with these new cards only able to be used in multiplayer. i think that would be fun.

We played a Two-headed giant match last weekend that was Banker and Gearsmith/Rogue vs Arcanist Rogue and Gearsmith. It works effectively under those rules though in the end the match took a little over an hour and a half and almost everyone had decked out before the end
