I always love seeing spreads like this, where you see art progressing. Thanks!

My first impression was, "this isn't very node-like'', but I'm guessing this is meant to represent primitive nodes (since SEED is set before 1st Edition).
So, upon further reflection, this art is pretty sweet!

Everything (read: some things) will be revealed with the new set. :)
The style in the new set is somewhat different from the previous sets, due to the fact, that we have individual artists (or studios) doing each piece and as such the artist's individual style will manifest stronger in the artwork.
The story buffs shouldn't need to worry though. The intended storyline and named characters still exist and they will be back when their time is ready.
Thanks for your comments. Keep them coming. The Spoils belongs to all of us and we are all a part of contributing to making this an even greater game!

For some reason, the attachments do not show up in Firefox, they just show up as the Alt text.

Finally the story will be revealed!! Now it will al make sense (in a spoils twisted kind of way)
Love the artwork too Anders, keep them rolling. I didn't notice any thread regarding the rules text suggestions for the clay node. Do we get a sneak peek at that too? :D

The art is very cool. I have one global suggestion though.
The only problem with Spoils artwork is that the graphic area on the card is too small. Too small for the very detailed drawings to show their potential.
Many of the graphics have a hidden "story" or a joke but they are often barely visible. The same goes with characters. I can take a closer look on Jo Ciendilo only because I have enlarged scan on my PC.
Spoils artists do a great work. But you do not have to show the entire drawing. IMHO you should enlarge part of it, "zoom in".
This should help playing the cards as well. In most of the tcgs you look on the picture and recall what the card does. In Spoils some darker pictures [in Arcanist deck for example] do not differ much and you have to check the name of the card to make sure you have the right card in your hand.
Thats all, I hope I made it clear. :) Be safe, regards.

It must be me, but so far most of the art seems very un-spoils like. In my opinion the art is going towards a magic card feel. Please do not change the underlying nasty and naughty feel the first 2 sets had. Also I think changes in the hues theme was a mistake.

I actually like that they are doing away withe the old color pallete. It will be very helpful to tell cards apart. Though I do see how it is going away from the old spoils feel. Like burly assailant, it just doesn't look right to me.
