Restructuring
6GGGG
Banker Tactic
You may put all resources you control into their owner's hand. If you do, X is the number of resources put into your hand that way. Play X resources. Your faction gains X influence.

Draw 2 cards.

--------------

Not sure if the draw should be before or after the main effect.

I like the design on this one a lot and it can be another piece of a combo engine... but it's probably not overpowered.

Uh...no, that's ridiculously overpowered.

All-Nighter can only be used on your turn and only nets you 5 resources unattached (assuming you don't draw to replace) and it's in the trade that focuses on resource advantage. In this case, for 6 you replace the card, draw a card, and get to detach all of your resources, and replace any face downs that you might want to use now.

The concept is fun, certainly, but it's a combination of Arcanist, Gearsmith, and Banker right now with a heaping helping of OP :D

What if the resources came into play attached?

What if the resources came into play attached?

Now we're talkin' :)

It seems much more Arcanist themed though as Resource manipulation (of the self obviously) is their thing. To make it a greed themed card I'd say you change it thusly:

Restructuring
6GGGG
Banker Tactic
You may put all resources you control into their owner's hand. If you do, X is the number of resources put into your hand that way. Play Y resources attached to your faction where Y is any number less that X. Your faction gains X - Y influence. Draw X - Y cards.

Math. Makes brain hurt. You shouldn't have to do algebra to follow a card's directions.

If a card like that ever comes out you better hope it has a 'your opponent cannot respond to this card' on it or quotidian misfire will eat you alive

Resource manipulation is more Arcanist than Banker, though Banker does get to have some fun with resources. If it's too much of a stretch as printed, I could see this losing the influence gain and becoming an Arcanist card. (Or an arcanist/banker multitrade card :D)

Your version gives up too much elegance IMO.

I thought of that exact circumstance, which is why it says "you may". It will be effectively countered by Misfire, but you won't lose your resources.

Wouldn't it be better then to make it a minimum of whatever cost it ends up as to make you run that risk?
So if it is a 6 GGGG for example you have to add at least 6 to your hand?

Yeah mine's certainly not elegant, but it's more banker themed. They're very much about hitting thresh and eating resources/discarding in favor of card draw...true gluttons.

This is hardly the first time we've seen X and Y on a card, btw, so quit 'chur cryin :p

Think about it this way. This card is effectively Selective Gluttony, but instead of drawing from your deck and discarding to your discard pile you're drawing from and discarding too your resource base. Like Gluttony, it's -1 card advantage, but you gain tremendous card quality in return.
