I think it's about time we start posting some Seed constructed decks on these forums. I haven't seen ANY besides the ones I've built (which no, I hadn't posted yet, because most weren't that great.)
However, I've had this deck built up for over a year now, waiting to play it at Seed Champs. I'm hoping seed champs will still happen, because this deck proved VERY consistent, and was capable of winning VERY quickly. I've tried to build other Seed constructed decks, but none have proved as consistently deadly as this one.

4 Dragon Archer
3 Trebuchet Officer
4 Balking Foecrusher
4 Enduring Swordsman

3 Watchtower
3 Drill Garrison
4 Mighty Ballista

Additional Rescources

9 Rage

75 Cards total

As I was writing up this list, I was surprised to discover that there are only 4 Trebuchet Officers in it. Seems that was one of the few seed cards that I didn't have a full playset of. Of course, you could play less of these guys if locations aren't popular in your meta, but I really like him for killing Imperial Senate of Marduun, or any of the big thresh locations. Also, if anyone plays High Court of Demands, Trebuchet Officer laughs in their face.

I don't think I would play more than 3 Elzibeth, although it is a consideration.

I have considered cutting 1 Phalludrix, the card is awesome, but sometimes you just get two for one'd with it.

I have also considered playing Righteous Exemplar, and maybe even Fervent Beastslayer. If there ever will be a deck to play those cards, it would have to be this one, but I'm not sure they're good choices. Some games, you have a ton of rage icons, other times, you don't. So Enduring Swordsman is more consistent in that regard. Also, I love the potential there is for a Balking Foecrusher to Crush Wave with damage on the stack, blowing up my swordsmen to finish off one of their big guys.

I have received criticism in the past for playing with Essence of Rage, but I absolutely love the card in this deck. It can just win you the game in so many ways.Depleting their key blocker is often a HUGE play, and don't forget that it is a shock with Gideon in play.

The deck has an amazing early game, and doesn't completely run out of steam if they reach late game, thanks to things like Boilstorm and Elzibeth.

Generally, I think that you mulligan everything away except Adriel and Gideon, and maybe a violence and/or a phalludrix, and of course cards that are good in that specific matchup. The idea here being that you want turn one Adriel and Gideon as often as possible.

I'm not sure if I have the resources balanced correctly. I think I had worked it out pretty well, but like I said, I built this deck over a year ago, and I don't remember. Does anyone know the formula for how many resources you should play if you want to reach a certain threshold? Should be easy since it's just one trade.

Any comments are appreciated. Also, you guys should post some seed constructed decks, so I have something good to test against. I post my tech online. :D

About the trebuchet officers and the dragon archers, you might be right, I think 2 of the Dragon Archers were yours, I forget when it comes to the trebuchets, but the eccentrics were mine, I'm sure of that. You were borrowing a foil one and a regular one for your big constructed deck (which I got back). Besides, you sold my Garruk Wildspeaker, when it was worth something, and kept the cash. I'd rather not get into that argument. :(

So, damn. Any comments on the deck out there?

I think I'm cutting down to a one-of Phalludrix, if any. I don't like offering up two for ones like that, especially when the deck's weakness seems to be removal heavy decks.

Needs moar testing.

I'm thinking that if righteous exemplar has a home in any deck, it would be this one. Probably can put those in place of some of the excess phalludrix.

I think it's pretty stable. It would prolly take some minor tweaks based on the meta (3 Watchtowers or 4 Trebuchet Officers). I personally like Impressive Hero over Essence of Rage.

Damn... this means I need to get a seed deck in place. Blah, what to make, what to make....

EDIT:

I See your Mono Warlord and raise you an Arcanist/Banker (http://www.thespoils.com/spoils/showthread.php?p=73218#post73218)

Oh and Gnat, do you still have my classic controller lol?

Essence of Rage was cut for more locations. Updated list in original post.

Goldfishing has reminded me why I cut Phalludrix in the first place... it seems cumbersome with no Adriel. I think I would rather just play another character instead of paying to attach repeatedly. I am thinking of cutting it again for one of the following cards:

Fervent Beastslayer. A 5/5 for 5 is pretty good. This would let me keep up with big fat guy like Cowering Golem.
Impressive Hero. The deck is light on 2 drops, this one has a relevant ability.
Manful Skirmish. I could see this card being really good in certain situations, and mostly a blank in others. The fact that it replaces itself is what makes it most tempting.
Palludrix. Leaving this card in the deck enables a potential insane start with Adriel, however all decks play removal cards, and attaching a card always opens you up to a 2 for 1. Also, phalludrix seems very slow without Adriel, since you could actually draw a card instead of paying to attach it. I'm still on the fence, this is a card that has been back and forth, in and out of this deck since the start. Maybe just a 1 of?

There is also one more option, should I choose to cut Phalludrix once again: I could go up to 4x of any 3 of my 3 ofs, which are Elzibeth, Drill Garrison, Watchtower, and Trebuchet Officer. If I went this route, 2 of my 3 would definitely be Elzibeth and Trebuchet Officer.

Right now, I think I am leaning toward 3x Fervent Beastslayer.

We've been using the original list for playtesting against our decks for this weekend.

Have since replaced Swordsman with Beastslayer (at 5R thres, he is Strangulate-proof - and if you ain't there by turn 3, you're gonna have so many other problems that it probably won't matter :o ).

I still like Essence - especially with Gideon, of course, or for depleting a potential blocker.

RE: The Phalludrix Paradox - Hmm . . . I say keep three (or even 4  ) or drop it completely. It's biggest benefit is early game (so you want to increase probability that you will have it hand at start of game. This deck has no search, so dropping it to 2 or 1 of seems silly to me)

Even without equipping, you prevent a few of the Arcanist discard tricks from hurting you.

Wait to equip until you are reasonably confident that you can attack without opponent playing removal. Good for one turn, hopefully - and will probably cause opponent to target Adriel with the early cheap removal card in hand (saving Gideon for one more turn. Essence of Rage, anyone? ;) )

It all that plan goes to heck, well - stick the Sword in the Stone as a face-down resource and fuhgetabowtit. :o

And don't worry about how this deck plays late game. If it hasn't won by mid-game, you are probably dead anyway from an unwelcome encounter with the likes of Merlion, Mountainous Golem, or perhaps a fully-inflated Wabbit.

I have also added Fervent Beastslayer to my build, I have no idea why he wasn't in there before. Somehow I didn't think a 5/5 for 5 was good enough? Or maybe I just didn't trust myself to hit 5 thresh. Either way, he has replaced the phalludrixs.
