As much as I love darting from thread to thread just looking at cards, I felt a single thread could be useful for what we know of Seed.
Here's what we know.

Set Name: Children of the Lingamorph
Cycle: Set 1 of unknown in the Seed Cycle
Number of Cards: 220, 6 Faction Cards (5 new), and new art for all 5 staple resources.
Prerelease Dates: November 24-25, 2006
Release Date: December 6 for retail partners, December 11 for everyone else
Characteristics:
Seed is a Prequel to the Spoils World we've seen in First Edition part 1 and 2
As such, some trades are going to be functionally different then we saw in First Edition
This is the first set with different Faction cards, including new art for the Tournament Faction
All the staple resources are getting new art
New "Starter Kit" for new players coming out soon, probably tied to Seed
New "Scenario Kit," but what that is hasn't been clarified
New Mechanics by Trade(?)
Flip Up (All Trades) - Cards with Flip Up may be played face down as a resource and then later "flipped up" if the Flipped up threshold is met. The card is considered to have come into play when it is flipped up, but it cannot be played 'as a tactic' only because it has Flip Up.
Gamble (Rogue) - Revealing the top card of the player's library will effect what occurs. After the card is revealed, it is put back on top of the their deck. Gamble is not printed on the card, however it is slang for the mechanic.
"Icons Matter" (Banker?) - Best described as a threshold for effects/abilities, "icons matter" is a concept in which text will only be valid when the corresponding threshold is met.
Non-Staple Resources - No description necessary.
Overclock (Gearsmith) - Overclock is a mechanic in which by paying an additional cost to playing a card, a bonus effect is applied. Again, this is not on the card, but slang for the mechanic.
"Pure Power" (Warlord) - Josh Lytle revealed here (http://www.thespoils.com/spoils/showpost.php?p=51172&postcount=18) that Warlords, though without a mechanic of their own, are straightforward and strong. "Pure Power" is just a term I'm using to put it in this alphabetical list. Expect incredibly efficient cost to strength/life ratios.
Recur (Arcanist/Banker) - Recur functions as an ability on characters. If a character with recur is in the discard pile, you may activate it's ability, which presumably will consistently mimic the character's 'come into play' trigger. Recur has a threshold cost which must be met to use the ability. The cards are removed from the graveyard as part of the cost.

Anything I missed, feel free to inform me. I'll put it up.
