It's tpyical for the Spoils card game prize being put in the world book record. Magic had the highest pay in the history of the card games until the Spoils showed up and beat that record.

I was a little worried about the WoW world Championships competing, someone told me the payout was supposed to be around $1,000,000, but I just did the math and it's only $273k.

Yeah, i guess that does seem like something that should be retracted, granted that the tournament never took place, and half the other prize support never came out.

Has anything about a new set been released yet? Or a new setup of tournaments?

Head over to the Open R&D section for info on new set/sets. I believe they are working on the tournament setup. I'm pretty sure Gencon had some. I'm sure as The Spoils via AT develops more will come to light.
