So, I am brand new to the spoils, and I was hoping that this wouldn't be a wallet-breaking game... well, it is. I often find through the competetive deck builds that they need several quad rares. So, I bought some packs, and I have the bare shell of a banker-warlord dragon deck.
I'd like to know if the Really Big Barduse, Wyrmfang, Bladefist Doomwing, and the Beserker Corps have enough synergy with my Banker removal and stalling (opulence, bribe, LL, etc.)
I don't see too many tourney decks use these large dragons, so I have a feeling that my recent pulls haven't served me too well! But I don't have any "4 ofs" for rares yet, so I just want to go past turn 6 or 7 against strong decks. Thanks a ton.
Also, I did recently pull a Dragon Tank, maybe it'll help!

Hey man, never fear. If you are a casual player 4 ofs of rares aren't that necessary. For your wondering if you can play those big guys with banker, the answer is yes, a thousand times yes. Banker is excellent at starting slow and crawling to a big, fiery, explosive dragon finish if thats what you want. Some things to considre for your deck (i'll try to keep it down in rares) are as follows
Dandy Day Trader= hes a 1/5/3 if my memory serves me. Thats a huge butt of defense, so he can sit there and block almost any single creature all day long and survive.
Nasty Butler= Not sure on his stats, they aren't that great, but the gaining influence when he comes into play sure is.
SKilled Negotiator= he can make a character drop 2 strength right in the middle of their attack. Good to save some life and better for saving a dandy day trader that is about to take lethal do to a combat trick.
Tax Attorney= Anything that is going to deal you damage is now going to deal 1 less. 4 ofs for this guy would be nice for ya.
Executive poaching= Kills one of the hardest guys to kill right now, the martial artist. Also hits big flashy expensive guys that some people rely on to punch the last bit of damage through.
I hope this all helps, and the list could go on and on, just message me or reply here if ya need any more advice
EDIT: I just saw the dragon tank line. USE IT USE IT USE IT. its a big distraction if nothing else, but it can usually clear the board then shoot itself. Anyways, thats a pet card of mine, so good luck,

I have some of those, plus the pettifogger, so I can stall some. What about Keen Strategem for the combo of Greed and Rage, considering the large thresholds of the dragons, or should I be startin with two greed and keep my banker thresh down? I have been using the paralegal prodigy, so i needed 3 there, but I feel that the lawyer play will fall short!
But I do have some lawyers, so maybe I can work something out.
I dig this community, for the most part you are quick and helpful. I just hope I can get started without losing my life in the process!!
Thanks guys

3 thresh for the 2 cash outs i traded for. I will post a deck to start editing too!

okay man, heres the deal. I hate to burst your bubble, but this is how its played as of now. If cash out is your only 3 thresh thing, i would drop it. Also, dont use the paralegal prodigy, he costs a lot for what he does, which isn't that much. But if you drop the cash out you dont have to run anymore greed than your starting two. sorry you got burned a bit on a trade, but it could have been worse. Anyways, keen stratagems are good, i forgot those, they are good turn zero plays to make sure you stabilize your resources, or can hunt down the last rage for those super high thresholds you have :D . Start the 2 greed, than run about 15-18 rage, maybe even more, because your costs are so high. Remember, this is a casual deck so don't feel bad if it isn't stellar or loses a lot. It should be good to teach you more about the game and other fun things. Get a list up soon and i can help ya a little more.

At least its 75, and I can get some games under my belt. Buying more packs every week, so tell me what I am looking for so I can compete in the weekly tourneys around here. The schproing/shipping and Pluck are the two most steady decks in this meta. Thanks again!

iy actually looks kinda solid. Im not a fan o beserker corp, but thats just a personal opinion. try him out, see how he works for ya, if its not that good, drop him for another warlord card. If schproing is a big deal in your area, try to get a hold of executive poaching, as it will hit him. Oh yeah, you need shriever attacks. Its an uncommon from first edition part 1. It deals 2 damage to everything. it may kill some of your men, but it will also wipe away all pesky micromajigs. its worth it. other than that just test and see how it works. Also try to get 4 scouts for the deck, and 4 tads. he is really good.
Shocking Reappearance doesn't work so well on two thresh. :) I might try Postmortem Debenture. I definitely agree that you should try to get some Shriever Attack, as your deck is well equipped to handle a few huge men (jewelry, bribe, opulence) but less well equipped to handle swarms of small men.

Yeah, that Reappearance point is pretty valid... so I dropped those and don't have postpartum yet, so I put in the poachings. Later today, I am showing a group of my friends how the system works, and I will try it out. Thanks again for the quick response. I'm sure I'll be back on to ask rules questions and manage their deck ideas.

Even though this is a seperate deck, I posted a deck that has no rares last week. If you are new and lacking on the rares, it could give you some ideas. http://www.thespoils.com/spoils/showthread.php?t=4090

one of the popular decks is SIN or strength in numbers which acually can be built w/ out rares in it... here is just one list
the idea is to crank out a ton of dudes and swing for the win using SIN to force leathal damage... Basic and famin are over 3 speed so when you SIN you should be able to clear the board for your 3 or lower speeds 2 hub nodes survive the card that is the bane of your life Shreiver attack... beefy also makes it...
2 Elitism
18 Rage
4 7001b0x elf
4 Micromajig Master
4 Micromajig Maker
4 Basic node
4 Hub node
4 flaming barduse
4 b33fy elf
4 Research assistant
4 Heirloom incinerator - or crazed deputy
4 Horsemajig Famin
4 Bloodcurdeling bulldozers
2 Lutoderm prototype - trade for Deathmuderblugend the craighammer when you get some
4 SIN
4 Tactician vacation
1 Bask Bomb

Since it sounds like you're going to be getting some other players into the game, look at the articles on TCGPlayer about building solid decks out of the pre-constructed ones. I think they're off the front page now. Look for 'Playing with Pre-Cons' in the archives. I hope they're helpful.
As for the deck you have now, look out for Dragon's Quarters (rare), more copies of Flaming Barduse (common), and Deadly Striker (uncommon).
Some other Banker cards I'm fond of that I think you could run include Secret Handshake and Red Tape. Both will help you live longer. Dragon Juice is a Warlord tactic which will assist in killing your opponent.
