A hardcore control deck that doesn't get rolled like a wee child. I played a mono-Arc control deck at the SCC and since tweaked the crap out of it. The decklist can be found in one of the Denver SCC tourney reports (will edit link in when I go find it). Here's the second incarnation.

Well, I'd say that the two resource version is an improvement for sure. Looks like it might get overrun if it doesnt draw the right cards, but if it can make it to the late game it seems pretty decent.
I dont love the deranger, turn one deranger + quotidian dissapperance would be pretty cool though.
Similar to a deck that I have been toying around with.
I found my build had troubles against resource acceleration and big dude Gearsmith decks.
It also had a problem against a combo laden rogue/gearsmith deck, but that had more to do with my poor play than the matchup.

Deranger actually serves me quite well I've found. In the original version AND in the updated version I think it will be the same. The idea being, it's far more dangerous for me to have it than for my opponent to get me to drop 2 cards. Most of the lock-down is in the form of permanents in play, so my transient hand means very little. Also I'm playing a resource basically every turn thanks to my friend the Recollection Bazaar, so there's likely to be very little to force me to drop. The derange + disappear first turn was also an idea for the good turn one advantage combo. I haven't played this deck against anybody serious yet so I don't have stats to back anything up...guess we'll see though.
I'd love someone to try it on MWS and let me know how it fares in the online community.

i have trouble seeing mono arcanist as viable currently... but one thing you could/should do is try to tighten your list up... you are running 11, 3 of's you could try to drop 2-4 of the ones you find in playtesting help only occasionally to make your deck more consistant by upping more key cards as you find them
I'd really like to see Misfire to go with the Diva, but that's just me being a crazy combo player.

It is certainly up for tweaking (hence the post and all the 3ofs). Without running a bunch of 3ofs I can't find what's useful and what's not. As for misfire...it's a possible addition, but not for the combo aspect. Around mid game when we both have between 6 and 10 resources it's a good way to kill a card and discourage resource use which gives me a long run advantage.

I don't like Elderidge in this deck. I'm also partial to a deck that goes up into the higher thresholds, but I need to consider more as to whether it would be better than your current build.

Yeah Eldriche is an experiment. In a deck where I should have lots of time to build counters, is he any good?

What about throwing in Insidious Ecto-manipulator to go with Eldridge/Quotidian Ejector/Napiform? Being able to bounce a non-resource card once per turn is mighty tasty.

Yeah I've thought of making it more token oriented...time will tell if that's the strongest way to play it though.

In my mind he can be very good when 1. There are other targets for his ability and 2. There are other cards to put counters on him.
You'd have to change your deck dramatically for me to think he belongs.

He's probably one of the first 3ofs to get cut. I also thought about throwing Quotidian Misfire in his slot.
2 resource mono anarchist? never even considered it, really cool idea.

Tightened it up a bit. I found that I was using Millipede as an expensive Remember...his damage is nice but I think for 5 I'd want a better secondary effect. Removed Gosche to make more 4ofs.

I dont know how useful you have found ritual of the urn to be but in my experiance it is weak as your opponent (especially seeing you play no resources will ditch a resource... sure some matchups (double D) they cannot ditch a resource but they also are given control over what type of card you get... if they are scared of you playing a fingertrap the ditch a character sure you can get a servile and get a forget but taht costs 9 resources befoer you can react... possible change to unnatural alteration? get a turn 2 anomoly out

That's a thought. I also playtest with people of my same mindset - fewer staples is better, so I haven't run into the Ominous problem yet...good to think about in general though.
