I want to get an idea of how this game is before I go insane organizing the tournies... I always get stuck with being the organizer lol.

ONE- How fast does the game play? Does it drag like magic? or is it over in a heartbeat like Yugioh? Hopefully somwhere in between.

TWO- Ive seen the starter deck cards and havent seen one that I can latch on to as far as charector design yet.... what kind of cards exist in the booster set? anything more....... menacing? a dragon, a knight, um oprah winfrey?

Three- are there any cards besides creatures and resources? Items? Locations? that sort of thing?

TY guys i really think this looks cool, i just need convincing before jumping into a new game.

I played in a recent sealed demo, where I just learned the game. I had a stall deck that lasted quite awhile (about 30 minutes) whereas another set of players finished three games in that time...

There are ITEMS and LOCATIONS found in the BETA decks.

Answers (Sorta)

#1 Games last between 15 minutes-2 hours (average for my store is around 45 minutes)

#2 Subtype Sarcophyles & Pirates (Deception) seem to really combo together nicely, or Lawyers (Greed) or for pure speed and overwhelming numbers for cheap, nodes (Elitism)

1: Yeah, I noticed that the newer players took a lot of time to play the game, and this drug it out to close to an hour. (for booster games).
This slow play was caused mostly by both players having to look over every card the opponent played, because they didn't recognize it.

2: There are few dragon cards, which makes me a sad panda, but those cards a pretty good. This is the case with msoe types of characters, where there aren't a "Tonne" of them, like nodes or Sacrophyles. But, there is about the same amount of each type in each faction, that is... about.

As for which ones go together well, I think Lawyers, Pirates, and warlord guys (can't remember their type) go well together.
