Another Silly Card Memory Question

Let's assume my opponent controls a Recapitulating Apparition and I control a Deadly Striker who has learned the Secret Handshake in order to have 6 Life. If I play a Skin Suit targetting the Apparition and the Striker, the Striker dresses up in the Apparition's skin (how awkward) and "for the rest of the game" he "has all rules text of the removed character in addition to its own rules text."

If I then sacrifice my Apparition skin clad Deadly Striker to a Ruthless Platoon, does he retain the Apparition's ability to pay 1 in order to return to play under my control depleted? Or since he switched zones, does the Striker forget about his ghostly skin and sulk in the discard pile?

Once the card changes areas, it forgets about the Skin Suit-granted text. In this case, the Deadly Striker does not have the RA text at the correct time to trigger. It just sulks in the discard pile.
