View Full Version : Border Vs. Symbol coloring

I've scoured the forum for this issue and haven't found anything. Maybe I'm one of few that have had this problem, but I still think it is an issue (as well as many of the people i've played with). I wish the symbols on the cards matched to some extent the coloring of the borders (ala magic). It's fairly confusing for new players (and sometimes for me because of the smallness of the symbols) when the symbol for Rage is red but the border is blue, and the border for Deception is Red but the symbol is purple, and the symbol for greed is also purple but the border is yellow, etc... It seems that there should be some uniformity there to alleviate issues. And don't even get me started on the problems color-blind people could be having with all of this. Anyone else have any thoughts on this issue?

you know, I felt the same way, was hard right away, but really, you get used to it pretty fast. tho the same colors would be nice

Well I've missed out a little here then - I didn't print off colored versions. Only black and white. So I couldn't tell ya. But I can tell you that'll you get used to it as with all things. It's only a matter of time.

That really didn't bother me, however the one thing that did was the Banker and Rogues bordering and general colors. When your quickly flipping through your cards they look the same and are hard to sort, not to mention accidently play.

This (color borders) was definately something that was mentioned last night. The color scheme as is might be a bit confusing for a lot of people.

I have to say I really do like the color scheme that The Spoils has. It's better than just using all primary colors or something.:p I did think it was a bit odd however that the colors of the cards and their respective recource colors did not match. I did notice though that the symbol color on the cards for determining the thresh hold amount DID match up with the color of the icon on the resource cards. It makes perfect sense if you look at it like that.:) :spade: Peace!

I really love the current borders, it would be a shame if they got changed. :(
I really do not see the trouble though, the Rogue cards have little Card symbols in each corner, each faction has a unique card colouring as well.
I find them to be easilly identifiable, but apparently I am in the minority.

Our group found the resource symbols in the threshhold cost to be a little too small,
and everyone agreed that deception and greed shouldn't be so close in colors.
