PAX Report?

I know some of the guys that are out at PAX have been around the boards... let's get an on-location report on The Spoils action!

New to the boards, new to Spoils, but I am at PAX. The tabletop area has been crazy all day today, packed full of people playing Spoils all day long.

There have been multiple tournaments running at the same time, and it has been awesome!

I am also excited about hearing the stories from pax. Hopefully there will be pics and things posted like there was for gencon.:) Anybody have any early news? The Spoils getting a lot of action?:spade: Peace!

Lots of players in the events. It was a blast, I lost to lack of sleep in the iPod event. Made a few play mistakes and went 3-2.

In the $2,500 event I managed to go 4-0 and drew into the top 8. I managed to get 19 Arcanist cards and 12 Warlord cards, so I played 2 trades. My deck was good enough that I beat my first opponent while only drawing 2 characters.

I then got a bad draw while my opponent dropped a Hyperphagic Sarcophyle on turn 1. That was the end of the event for me. A fellow employee also made top 8 and he lost in the first round as well. It was a blast!

I wasnt able to attend much to my dismay. Hopefully pictures and a list of the winners of events will go up!

I will post an extensive report alongside the pictures I took. I was there all three days volunteering. If anyone spotted the guy in the plaid hat giving demos, that was me.

I was at PAX all day Saturday. The room was bursting with the Spoils all day long and well into the night.

I played a few small tourneys, and then the XBox tourney. I had to drop due to the lateness of the hour at 2-0-1.

So many people playing and nearly everyone I talked to loved the game. Many many people hadn't heard of the game before they showed up to PAX, and then spent the weekend playing it.

That was by far the most I've gotten to play the game, and it's big fun. Especially when you've got a good deck rolling. There are so many ways to make decisions that can help your deck work, depending on the flavor of the deck and the draw you get.

I think this snowball is rolling.

well after playing a demo friday night I proceded to spend all Sat and Sun in tournies. if only I could have had better pulls in my one loss in the last DS tourny sunday, I could have taken that one. such a great deck. but still had a blast, now time to start some deck building
