I'll assume that by Secret Handshake, you meant Red Tape. :D

So, we have Samuel Gristwalter in play. His strength is 0. Jolly good.

Then you play Red Tape, and he loses 3 strength. This would drop his strength to -3, but we have this rule:


Numbers can never go below 0. If at any time a number would go below 0, instead it is set to 0.

So, his strength is 0.

Then you play Dragon Juice. His final strength is 5.
