What can I put Tokens on?

So can I place a token on any card, regardless if it does anything? (think voidal poisining here)

There is nothing inherrently preventing tokens from being on faction cards or resources. Because factions cannot normally be picked unless specifically stated, it's pretty hard to get tokens onto a faction card right now.
