So let's say I've got a Zenobia's Spyglass (http://www.metatime.net/athena/search.php?name=%22Zenobia's%20Spyglass%22) in play. My opponent doesn't like me having that kind of tech (I play decks on the basis of how techy they are), so he tries to Precise Sabotage (http://www.metatime.net/athena/search.php?name=%22Precise%20Sabotage%22) it. Since I also make play decisions based on techiness, I respond by using Spontaneous Displacement (http://www.metatime.net/athena/search.php?name=%22Spontaneous%20Displacement%22) to bounce it to my hand then immediately replay it (using the second effect of Displacement).
Now, even though the Zenobia's Spyglass in play after the Displacement occurs is physically the same card that had a wooden shoe thrown in its gears (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabotage), I'd assume that the Precise Sabotage is not omniscient insofar as it can't keep track of the Spyglass once it's left play, so as far as the Sabotage is concerned the Spyglass in play is different from the one that was in play before things started Flickering (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=flicker&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=UD&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=) (or Momentarily Blinking (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=momentary+blink&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=TS&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=), for you new schoolers), and so the Spontaneous Displacement has effectively Counterspelled (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=counterspell&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=) (or Mana Drained (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=mana+drain&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=) or Forbade (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=forbid&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=EX&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=) or Force of Willed (http://www.crystalkeep.com/cgi-bin/magicsearch.cgi?cardName=force+of+will&cardColour=&cardType=&creatureType=&expansion=AL&rarity=&cardText=&rulingText=) or whatever) the Sabotage.
I obviously posted this here mostly because I thought playing Spontaneous Displacement as Flicker was funny, but some verification of my current knowledge of card memory would be nice, too.
