Format:
Constructed tournament. Each player must bring a 75 card minimum deck.
Swiss rounds. 40 minute rounds, number of rounds and cut to T4 or T8 based on attendance.
Cool Prizes:
1st Place: 10 STE points, Spoils WCC Fleece Pullover, t-shirt and beenie.
2nd Place: 5 STE points, Spoils WCC Scarf and beenie.
3-4 Place: 2 STE points, Spoils WCC t-shirt and beenie.
5-8 Place: 1 STE point and a Spoils WCC t-shirt.

Yeah. I hope to be there! Definately love the cut to top, it makes the situation a little less pressured and more fair.

Just wanted to make sure no one's surprised by the T4 or T8. Whomever is in the T4 or T8 will be playing single elimination. Rules for single elimination are:

40 minute rounds
1 turn over time
If after that turn there isn't a winner (someone at 0 influence) the winner will be determined by highest influence.
If influence is a tie, we go to sudden death...first change of influence wins. If you gain an influence, you win. If you lose an influence, you lose.

when were these rules posted?

I was under the impression T8 for higher level tournies were untimed deliberately wanting to prevent games going to highest influences, to balance against stall decks.

I'll look at all the documents I have to see if it's in writing so I can quote it, but if it's not, this is the official stand from :chomp: (Gen Con So Cal) for elimination matches. Yes, they did play with some 60 and 90 minute 2 of 3 rounds, but that was just a test.
