My store just got in a whole set of Pre-Con First Edition The Spoils decks in, I was about to but one but didn't have the 6.99, I'll pick one up soon. Quick question, do the decks come with faction cards? and the rules, cause it looked like mine just had the cards.

EDIT: Anyone??? Are these cards even out yet?

Cool man:cool: I am gonna check the local shop here tomorrow and see if The Spoils is in yet. If I am not mistaken the preconstructed decks come ready to play with resources, a tournament faction card and rules. If I am mistaken please correct me somebody. I will know for sure tomorrow night if indeed they have made it here.;)

Thanks Klown, Tomorrow I'm gonna go and buy me some Spoils cards, hopefully they won't be sold out LOL. Just before the store closed, I called and made sure they came with everything I need to play :). Me and my brother will be 'spoiling' ourselves in no time!

Yep! Ours got it in Tuesday. Unfortunately, I've only been able to convince 2 other people to buy any :(. I don't work on the weekends, so it'll be time to push this game!

I went this moring and The Spoils has arrived!:)Fully stocked up here in Des Moines IA. They even had quite a few booster boxes in stock. The Competition pack decks come with 69 cards total. One tournament faction card, 6 resources of each trade, a random assortment of cards and a rulebook. They are like gaint booster packs that include the cards to "get you started" And then there are the preconstructed trade decks as well. They are a great deal and an excellent way to get started building a specific deck type if you so choose. I suggest buying at least one deck of each trade, a competition pack or FEW, and as many booster boxes as you can muster up.:p Good luck.

Send your store's contact information to service@thespoils.com. Also, make sure that your local store owner knows that there's an interest in the game.

There are several places on the net to purchase The Spoils cards. There is an advertising area on these forums and of course you can always "google" The Spoils and see what pops up.:) Good luck!

So this game has been around since mid-2006? The only thing I've ever seen on it was a small article in Inquest Gamer a few months ago announcing the next expansion. I found this site and the game looks really interesting with great card art but I've never seen it in stores anywhere (I live in the Dallas area.) Are they using some new distribution strategy, encouraging online purchasing or something? So many new games struggle to find an audience that it just seems self-defeating to not make your product easy to find.

Thanks for your time

Naw, The Spoils don't encourage online purchase. Because they take FLGS as their business partners. You probably didn't hear anything about it because Spoils got overshadowed by WoWTCG

You should talk to your local retailer about carrying the game and have them contact Dawna [Dawna.havnar@tenaciousgames.com]

She is awesome and she will help your store out in getting some demo materials for the store.

If your store owner needs convincing on how awesome this game is, give him my e-mail address [STRMTRPR81@AOL.COM] and he can contact me.

I own a store in New York and would be more than happy to help him out with any questions. This way we can talk retailer to retailer and have him not feel that its just another company trying to push their product. Although :chomp: is an awesome company.

Feel free to contact me if you want any further information.
