As long as you control exactly 6 characters or fewer than 4 characters, characters you control gain a total of 6 strength and 6 life, divided evenly among all characters you control.

Say I've got 2 characters: Can I put 6 strength on one of them, and 6 life on the other? That's kind of ambiguous as currently worded.

You can't. What wording would you suggest? Would "each divided evenly" make it clear?

My 2 cents: with cheap covert characters like Deceptive Muddler, +6/+6 is a little strong. Probably safer as; control 3 they get +2/+2, control 6 they get +1/+1.

Also, combat math gets really confusing really fast as currently worded

Characters you control get +6/+6/+0 if you control exactly 1 character, +3/+3/+0 if you control exactly two characters, +2/+2/+0 if you control exactly 3 characters, or +1/+1/+0 if you control exactly 6 characters.
